The monologue I chose was Roses monologue in page 70 to 71.
Rose is a mother of many whom just found out the husband she thought was loyal to her
, had cheated on her with another woman. Rose had always been by his side helping him and trying to be the best wife she could ever be. Rose is usually quiet and the voice of reason throughout the whole play, bit in that instant something changes. The feelings of deep betrayl by the one person she thought she could truely trust broke her causing her to lash out finally standing up for herself, she powerfully degrades Troy but still doesn't even leave after all of that. Through the monologue you can feel the pain of her heart break seeping through the words she expresses and speaks her true mind letting go everything she had held back for years. The emotion I will be trying to convey is heart break and bubbling anger to really get the feeling of how someone would react to being hurt like Rose was.
