Romeo and Juilet Review of importance

In each preformance of Romeo and Juilet the theme of love and death were always present. Friar Laurence was also in every preformance because he played the key role in giving the two the ability of escaping to death for love. Juilet and Romeo were also always present in each performanve because they showed the aspect of love, true pure love between one another. The theme of death and love combine at the end to form love so powerful that you escape to death for love in a sense. There was always something keeping Romeo and Juilet apart in each preformance , wither it be the father or romeos forced exile. It was always present until teh end where they died and escaped from the forces keeping them apart.

The monologue I chose was Roses monologue in page 70 to 71.     Rose is a mother of many whom just found out the husband she thought was loyal to her , had cheated on her with another woman. Rose had always been by his side helping him and trying to be the best wife she could ever be. Rose is usually quiet and the voice of reason throughout the whole play, bit in that instant something changes. The feelings of deep betrayl by the one person she thought she could truely trust broke her causing her to lash out finally standing up for herself, she powerfully degrades Troy but still doesn't even leave after all of that. Through the monologue you can feel the pain of her heart break seeping through the words she expresses and speaks her true mind letting go everything she had held back for years. The emotion I will be trying to convey is heart break and bubbling anger to really get the feeling of how someone would react to being hurt like Rose was.

I sl owed my breath as i she felt down the wet brick wall behind me. My heart was pounding and my body trembles in fear as she hears the sounds of sirens drawing closer. Stealing, I had to steal to survive. I was abandoned on the streets of New York at a young age and was just barely surviving daily off of the scraps others left behind.
